First, I finally took the time to figure out how to add a title to my blog, which is nice. Second, I had a horrible, scary run at Lebanon Hills tonight. Swarms and swarms of deer flies chased me down for a good hour while I ran scared. The uphills were the worst, as my legs were tired and I had to slow down--meaning the evil flies had time to land. Ugh. I wore a white hat and white shirt and sprayed myself with bugspray but they still were horrible. I made it roughly 9 miles tonight, but I hardly enjoyed any of it...
Here is to hoping that the deer fly season doesn't last long.

Same for me yesterday in Hyland. Normally I get one at a time and they normaly attack for 20 sec then tire and fly off but yesterday they all must have been on crack. 3 to 4 at a time, I was about to turn around and head back then I took off my shirt an tied it over my head and that really helped. One thing I guess they do is make you run alittle faster.
These ones don't bite. Weird? I think I need to buy some deer fly repellent after running with you guys on Sunday. They are annoying and fly in my mouth. There are a number of repellents on the Internet for sale. For now, a baseball cap and sunglasses will do. Haven't figured out the mouth thing yet?!
